MyAmbar - An one-stop app to help survivors & their allies navigate their way to recovery

My Ambar is a free to use app for anyone who is looking for information, advice or support on surviving and healing from gender based violence. This application is not meant to substitute any professional medical, legal or therepeutics services, but rather aims to augment their critical work and make it more accessible for people in need.
Survivors are often unaware of the options they have, the symptoms or responses they are exhibiting, or the emotions they are going through. My Ambar aims to bridge the gap in every single aspect of dealing with gender based violence. This app provides support in a number of ways:
Crisis Support: Users can add their emergency contacts and instantly reach them using a one tap SOS button in case they need urgent help. Users can also immediately access a list of emergency helpline numbers in case they need external intervention to ensure their safety.
Bridging the self-awareness gap: Survivors sometimes are not sure of what happened (or is happening) to them and are unable to understand their emotions and behaviour. My Ambar app has the information, resources and self - assessment tests to help them reach closer to identifying, acknowledging and accepting the problem at hand.
Demystify the Legal and Medical Complexities: After the sexual assualt, getting the right legal advice and medical treatment dramatically improves long-term outcomes for a survivor. But each step in this direction can be overwhelming, especially at a difficult time like this. My Ambar app lays down this critical information in a form that is easy to comprehend by anyone and everyone.
Getting help: Users can idnentify and connect with verified organizations and professional services in their area or city. My Ambar has a wide network of partner organization and services spanning healthcare, legal, mental health, shelters and support organizations.
Self-care and community - Users can supplement their on-going therapy by accessing My Ambar's resources on mental health along with self-care exercises to help with a difficult moment. Users can also gain persective and strength by reading about experiences of other survivors.
With My ambar, we aim to be a source of information, solace and guidance - whatever you need and whenever you need it. We believe a little support can go a long way, and we hope this app helps you more than little in your journey to a violence free life.
